No one, but the slaves know what goes on within the walls of Midgar’s Slaver’s Guild. No one questions it either, for when it comes to slave trading in the city, the guild produces the finest specimens that could be asked for. Each male and female that comes forth from the guild is a prized slave if there ever was one. Each taught for a specific purpose and once their training was complete they were put upon the guild’s auction block and sold out those the citizens that could afford a well trained slave.
The mystery of the Slaver’s Guild mostly has been built up from the lack of being able to see anything within the walls. The large stone building rises high up and there are no windows or ways to see in. The lucky passerby may see one of the trainers leaving or coming in and get to sneak a quick peek as the door opens. The men and women who work at the Slaver’s Guild live there as well and usually only venture out to get supplies or to visit family, these mysterious men and women seeming happy to be the ones to take on training the city’s slaves.
The auction block is on the outside east wall of the guild. They chose this place so that when the sun rises it will beat down on the slave’s bodies as they are sold and make them look very appealing to the customers that visit. Surprisingly enough the slaves look almost happy to be put upon the block as if they were finally meant for something beyond the walls that had held them for so long. The auction block is only big enough to hold the auctioneer and just one slave. The slave placed on their knees before the crowd completely naked so their entire form can be seen. The auctioneer gives off their specialty in training and then starts the bid. Usually only 5 slaves are put on the block every few months so that the streets aren’t littered with fresh slaves as many other lands are.
While rare, the Slaver's Guild is known to occasionally sell an untrained slave, usually at special request to a man or woman wanting to break and train the girl themselves.
